Lunar New Year and Oni Festival

At the Lunar New Year and Oni Festival, visitors can celebrate the Lunar New Year with food, drink and games. You can participate in a tea ceremony, eat Nikko’s famous soba (buckwheat noodles), enjoy popular festival games, and try kakizome—ceremonial New Year calligraphy. Visitors can meet oni (mythical Japanese ogres) native to Kinugawa Onsen.
